Editorial and corrections policy

Generation and review

Country comparison pages are generated deterministically from the EuroCosts dataset. Automated calculations run only when both compared records are numeric. Text ranges and notes remain visible as text.

Source hierarchy

Headline fiscal data prioritizes official authorities and established professional tax references. Consumer and salary records should identify the source, observation date, currency conversion and whether the value is gross, net, national or city-specific before being treated as fully verified.

Corrections

When a supported correction is received, the underlying country record is updated first. All affected comparisons, country hubs, article images and the sitemap are regenerated from that corrected record to prevent inconsistent manual edits.

Conflicts and limitations

EuroCosts separates editorial presentation from professional advice. The editor does not receive a higher comparison result for favoring a country, tax system or commercial provider.
